About

Alexia Cameron Casiano (they/them) is an artist and maker whose work addresses childhood (and the inner child), transitions, identity, survival, and the changing planet. Alexia metabolizes elements of daily living, memory, and time into sculptural objects made of trash and recycled materials, abstract paintings, and mixed-media installations. They earned a BA in psychology before studying fine art at Otis College of Art and Design and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts and Writing at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). You can find Alexia on Instagram @lexialoo.

Ultimately, my work is about hope and healing through connection and creation. I am driven by process, intuition, emotion, texture, and the natural world. I view art as a sacred and essential form of self-expression, communication, and connection between people, and I have a passion for sharing the creative process (and a surplus of art supplies) with others. Contact alexia.makes.art@gmail.com for more information, to purchase artwork or prints, schedule a private workshop, community event, or Creative Coaching consultation.
